IN addition, the Vangelis Tribute sound bank I purchased only seems to load the individual instrument presets in Analog Lab 3 (i.e. This behavior is present in both the Analog Lab3 standalone app and as a VST in Live 9 and Cakewalk Sonar. If you browse to "C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets\ARP 2600 V3\Factory" you will find a "Past To The Future" directory, and in it you will find an "Equinoxe5" and "Equinoxe5_Future" preset. I attempted to install the sound bank manually (Past_To_The_Future_1_0_0_775.exe), re-sync licenses, and then restart Analog Lab 3. It still presented the same behavior in the sound store when you hit in the sound store. I made sure to refresh license sync via ASC, but still no sound bank.Ģ) I uninstalled Analog Lab 3, and then reinstalled it. When started, Analog Lab didn't show the sound bank. Once it indicated that it was owned by me, I proceeded to download the sound bank manually (Past_To_The_Future_1_0_0_775.exe) and install it. However, after about 50 seconds or so, the button returns, and no sounds are installed.ġ) Going to the Arturia website ( ) and clicking on the "Past To The Future" sound bank. I'm having issues with Analog Lab 3 not installing the "Past To The Future" soundbank.įirst, if you go into Analog Lab, goto the sound store, and click on to get the "Past To The Future" soundbank, you will briefly see the swirling arrows as if it is going to download and install.

If you compare it head on, I agree Topaz is much faster and for images of certian type better. I hope Topaz does not become case study because of their complacency. Canon managed to regain a lot of it, but Nikon not so much. Not sure how much you follow camera market, but remember when Nikon and Canon were kings and than Sony showed up on the market, seemingly out of nowhere and surpass them, and than by the time Canon and Nikon joined the mirrorless game, they already lost market share. Point I’m making is that when companies get complacent and stop innovating, competition catches up and surpasses them. Even now it still does a better reconstruction of blurry and small faces than Topaz, and for some users its enough what it does. Meanwhile there are many more companies entering the AI race and HitPaw AI was one of them. Some programs pretty much abandoned, like Mask AI, Adjust AI. I was commenting on the fact that until the latest release 5.8.0, was looking like they were not making many big improvements, but were more hawkish with their pricing. I am not comparing Topaz GigaPixel and HitPaw as two equal programs that compete in the same way. The photo apps of TopazLabs run quite snappy even on relatively small GPUs. So, how long will it take when the customes did not spend 1000$ to 4000$ on his GPU? Where it makes differences between noise and details. The app does not allow model changes with sliders, you can not set it to your own needs.ĭenoise Denoises 150 75Mb tiff images in the same time with this GPU. When denoising another image, there were tiles and leftover pixels that it didn’t recognize as noise. You can’t maximize or enlarge the app window, it doesn’t accept drag and drop. The face model did not change anything on an analog test photo. On my 17 Teraflop Radeon Pro W6800 it takes 3 seconds (2 seconds for resize) for 1% point. HitPaw, accepts only internet file types. I’ve complained about this and many others have for over a year now, with no change or response from Topaz. There has to be more efficient way to code and deliver smaller installation than right now. The Topaz products keep getting larger in size and not proportionally improving in their ability to deliver more. That is six times the size for same or lesser results. By comparison with all the models and everything GigaPixel is about 6 GB. By comparison HitPaw AI is maybe now 800 MB download with three good AI models to choose from. My point was that Topaz is releasing large applications, lots of bugs, and somewhat frustrating User interface that keeps changing and pricing structure that is not super clear and also some of their products like Mask AI is abandoned it seems, and that makes people trust the company less. There have been threads about Tiopaz and need to add better face reconstructions of small faces, but so far Topaz have not implemented it. In normal, high res clean images, it delivers similar results to Topaz, some better, some worse, depending on the image, but on average very comparable. So far I’ve tried every AI enlarger that is commercial, didn’t code one myself, but all the commercial options, HitPaw AI new model for reconstructing faces, is so far the best, and superior to Topaz with examples where there are small or blurry faces. I guess the downside is no Mac version, but perhaps they are planing it. So far I’ve seen quite a few similar Online AI photo enhancers, but HitPaw AI has three models now and one it tries to make itself different by being offline app. If they don’t, he’ll have to wait 'til spring. One notable difference between the Plus version and the previous one is the headphone jack for private listening on the remote. You can either set your TV resolution or have Roku automatically detect the highest one compatible. Starting up streaming apps took little to no time, and not once did we encounter a buffering icon or have to pause a show to wait for the video to finish loading. The Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus’s peak resolution is 4K at 60 frames per second, and when we checked under settings and watched the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” the resolution was indeed true. Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus Streaming Quality Whether you’re a Roku veteran or it’s your first go at a Roku device, the user interface is straightforward and similar to cable TV. We also had access to local channels on Roku. In short, we didn’t have any trouble navigating the Roku menu, and we liked that we could add more streaming apps by signing in to our online Roku account on our computer. We pulled up the channel guide by pressing the left arrow button, and we saw how long a program had been airing, the TV rating, and a basic description. We also found that the Roku Channel Live TV was a great replacement for over-the-air TV, since it was not only free but also chock-full of unique channels. When we browsed all the featured apps, Hulu, Max, Apple TV, and Prime Video were present. The Roku menu makes it easy to find streaming apps and live TV channels. The Roku menu with a soothing background. We weren’t huge fans of the loud clicking from the menu, so we turned it off in the Settings menu under Audio > Menu Volume. We found primary streaming apps such as Netflix and Disney Plus on the Home page, which we customized when we created a Roku online account. The main menu features a sidebar on the left, with a preview of apps, shows, and settings on the right. Our Experience with Roku Streaming Stick 4K PlusĪnyone new to streaming devices will learn that the Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus is super easy to use. We weren’t thrilled at the idea of using two separate TV remotes, but at least we weren’t confused about which was which. The Roku Voice Remote Pro takes on the tasks of powering the TV on or off and controlling the volume either with our voice or thumb, but it didn’t let us change the input. After pairing the remote to our Sony TV, we followed the on-screen instructions to set up our Roku account. Like its predecessors, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus didn’t come with an HDMI cable because the player connects directly to the TV’s HDMI input. Much of the setup process was plug and play, minimizing wasted time and headaches. What’s in the box (from top to bottom, left to right): USB power cable with a long-range Wi-Fi receiver, USB charging cable, power adaptor, Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus, and the Roku Voice Remote Pro. We had to double-check that our order included the plus sign on the box, and, unfortunately, we received the Roku Streaming Stick 4K and had to return it before placing another order with absolute certainty that we’d receive the Plus version. What hasn’t changed about Roku’s devices is the purple packaging. The Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus looks the same as its predecessor on the surface, but it packs in a few improvements. 1/6/2024 0 Comments Chocolate raspberry tartIt's best to store your tart in the refrigerator. To keep your tart fresh, here are a few guidelines: Clean your knife and repeat as you slice. Run a sharp knife under hot water, wipe it dry, then use it to cut through the tart. Return the tart to the fridge to set overnight or for at least 4 hours. Once the ganache is buttercream consistency, use a mixer to whip it until fluffy, then pipe on top of your tart. Let the remaining ⅔ of the ganache cool at room temperature, stirring every so often. Pour ⅓ of the ganache on top of the tart and spread it into an even layer. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes then stir to combine. Heat the heavy cream and pour it over finely chopped chocolate. Let cool at room temperature while you make the ganache. Pour the mixture on top of the pre-baked crust and return to the oven for an additional 10-13 minutes. Run the puree through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl with the sweetened condensed milk and yogurt. Cook until the raspberries have broken down and are mostly liquid and bubbling. In a large pan over the stove, combine the frozen raspberries, lemon zest, lemon juice, and granulated sugar. Pre-bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until golden. Press it into your pan and lightly pack it in. Mix together the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Heavy whipping cream: we simmer the heavy cream which then gets poured on top of the chopped chocolate, melting it into a smooth ganache.Semi-sweet or dark chocolate: I personally think milk chocolate would be too sweet here, but go with whatever you like! Make sure to use good quality chocolate.Greek yogurt: added to the filling to make for a smooth consistency.Sweetened condensed milk: creates a smooth, creamy texture.Lemons: freshly squeezed lemon juice & lemon zest are used to add a zesty and refreshing kick to the raspberries.I specify frozen here just so this can be the type of dish you make year round - frozen berries lock in freshness, so you can enjoy this dessert with peak raspberries throughout the year! Frozen raspberries: when heated, raspberries break down into a delicious puree that we use in the filling mixture.Unsalted butter: the melted butter binds the ingredients of the crust together and adds a rich flavor.Granulated sugar: granulated sugar sweetens both the raspberry and graham cracker layers.Graham crackers: the graham crackers are processed into fine crumbs, which form the sturdy, buttery base of the tart. While this tart looks impressive, it's surprisingly easy to make, making it perfect for both novice and experienced bakers! The graham cracker crust adds a crunch to each mouthful, a nice contrast in texture to the creamy ganache and raspberry layers. The raspberry layer is made with real raspberries, lemon juice, and lemon zest, providing a burst of fresh and vibrant fruitiness that cuts through the sweetness, balancing every bite. I suggest using semi-sweet or dark chocolate in this recipe. This tart features a layer of rich, silky chocolate ganache that perfectly complements the tartness of the raspberries. Why you will love this chocolate raspberry tart
